Peace, Love, and School Lunch

Learning isn’t always easy, and kids need fuel to get them through the long school day. Since 1962 National School Lunch Week (NSLW) has been helping nearly 30 million students do that daily.

#NSLW2022 is far out this year with the theme #Peaceloveschoollunch.

Be Caught Being Kind

Valentines Day Marks Our First Day of Random Acts of Kindness Week 2022.

Throughout the week, Lintons Food Service Management will be teaming up with @JonnyPops to empower students – From the cafeteria to the classroom – to drive acts of kindness for happier school environments with delicious frozen treats.

National School Breakfast Week

Lintons believes a healthy breakfast at the start of the day is a great way to ensure students are nourished and ready to learn. National School Breakfast Week helps us educate parents and students about all the nutritious and delicious choices we offer.

Our promotions offer ways to engage students while spreading the message about eating healthy meals and physical activity.

National School Lunch

Week October 10-14, 2022

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

During this annual weeklong celebration, SNA members and students around the country will celebrate in their cafeterias, schools and districts with special menus, events, student activities and more.

National School Breakfast Week is March 7-11

Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Lintons Food Service makes it possible for our schools to offer nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day.

In 2022, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is allowing all children to receive school breakfast and lunch for free, without an application, so it’s a great time for families to give school breakfast a try.

Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:

  • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
  • Score higher on standardized tests
  • Have better concentration and memory
  • Be more alert
  • Maintain a healthy weight
